Wuxi gears up for 2017 World Internet of Things Expo
The 2017 World Internet of Things Expo (WIOT) will be hosted in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, from Sept 10 to 13.
The exposition will include a main conference, 10 summit forums, an exhibition of internet of things (IoT) applications and products, the third IEEE International Smart Cities Conference and six related events.
Compared with the 2016 WIOT, this year’s exposition has a larger scale. It is expected to attract 2,800 enterprises and 9,000 guests.
The third IEEE International Smart Cities Conference is a newly added event at the exposition this year, inviting 200 foreign experts to attend. The 2017 WIOT will invite well-known institutes and firms from China and abroad to support the exposition.
This year’s WIOT will hold two additional summits concerning artificial intelligence (AI), narrow band internet of things (NB-IoT) and smart physical education.
Many domestic and foreign firms, such as AstraZeneca, Huawei, China Electronics Technology HIK Group Co Ltd (CETHIK) and NetEase, have been invited to take part in the exposition. An IoT investment summit and signing ceremonies for key projects will be a special highlight of the exposition.
The exposition is expected to propel the development of Wuxi’s IoT industry, promoting the industrial and technological transformation of the city.
