Industry-university-research cooperation is an advanced method taking advantages of industries, colleges and institutes, integrating research, development and production.

Xu Jianzhong, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that using industry-university-research cooperation Wuxi would be able to develop its aeronautic engineering industry and make great strides in aero engine maintenance. He hoped that the new aero engine technology can be developed in Wuxi, building an industry-university-research center integrating military and civilian engineering.

Chen Jian, president of Jiangnan University and Wu Gang, vice-president of Southeast University detailed their achievements in industry-university-research cooperation and shared their experiences at the fair. 

Liu Lihua, deputy party secretary of Jiangsu Fasten Group, one of the largest 500 businesses in China, raised four ideas, including accelerating the construction of the industry-university-research innovation platform, increasing the support for industry-university-research innovation cooperation projects, strengthening cooperation with world-class colleges and institutes and introducing more high-tech talents. 

The fair also showcased industry-university-research achievements for the attendees, as well as announcing 392 scientific and technological achievements from 37 Wuxi institutes and 360 technical requirements from Wuxi companies.
