The China Electronic Standardization Institute (CESI) will release a trial of the Standard for National Smart Manufacturing Capability Maturity at the forum, aiming to provide enterprises with professional and detailed analysis reports and to help them learn about their own smart manufacturing situations and provide advice about their future plans.
The CESI will also sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Wuxi government and Huishan district governments in a bid to promote the development of local smart manufacturing.
The forum is supported by top smart manufacturing research institutes from both home and abroad, including Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, a German applied research institute, CESI, and the Shanghai Representative Office of Japan External Trade Organization.
It is hope that by promoting advanced IoT technologies broadly applied to local enterprises, the forum and expo will help Huishan district develop into a smart manufacturing demonstration zone.
As the forum's organizer, Huishan district boasts a profound manufacturing foundation. In recent years, local enterprises have made great achievements in IoT, with smart manufacturing becoming one of the major characteristics of Huishan’s economic development.
As of the end of 2016, the district is home to 809 enterprises above designated size. According to statistics, over 60 percent of such enterprises use digital and smart equipment. Since 2015, 103 local enterprises have implemented smart manufacturing projects.
From this year to 2019, Huishan district will continue to support the smart manufacturing industry, cultivate leading enterprises, and improve its supporting services to become a national smart manufacturing experimental zone.
