The 2017 Sensing China Big Data Industrial Development Summit Forum took place in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Sept 10.

The forum forms part of this year's World Internet of Things Exposition, which attracted more than 500 government officials, company leaders, and media personnel to discuss the development trend of big data industry.

Wang Quan, mayor of Wuxi, said Wuxi has actively promoted the development of cloud computing, big data, and internet of things sectors to make the city a role model in the IoT industry. He was confident that the gathering of leading companies in cloud computing and big data such as Inspur will help Wuxi develop further.

Chi Yu, deputy director of Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Commission, noted that a series of policies have been rolled out in Jiangsu to accelerate the development of big data industry.

Chi hoped that the entrepreneurs in attendance would unite forces to push forward the big data industry and contribute to Jiangsu's development.

Wang Hongtian, executive president of Inspur Group, said his company's focus on cloud computing, big data, and IoT industries helps traditional enterprises use big data and artificial intelligence technology.

Wang added that based on the management, integration, processing and analysis of data resources, Inspur creates a big data industrial chain, which helps government improve its policies, benefits citizens, and promotes development of related industries.

As one of the organizers of the forum, Inspur established a partnership with Wuxi government, when the Inspur-Wuxi Big Data Industrial Park was inaugurated in August 2017. They have also agreed to build a big data trading center and a research institute.

Inspur Group, China's leading cloud computing and big data service provider, is committed to promoting the opening, sharing and application of data. Currently it has assisted 27 provinces and cities to establish big data platforms and operate 33 big data maker centers.
