The final of the 2018 Feifeng Data Innovation - World Internet of Things (IoT) Data Innovation Contest was held in Wuxi on Sept 16, during the 2018 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT).
Organized by the Administrative Commission of Wuxi Xinwu district and Tianchi Competition led by Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing subsidiary of e-commerce giant Alibaba Group, the contest attracted 1,036 competitors divided into 636 teams.
The competitors took part in data modeling and had to design a solution for the construction of smart cities using real-time data provided by Feifeng platform, a data system developed by Wuxi’s Xinwu district and Alibaba Group.
Eventually, DVexplorer won first prize after a tough final round against nine other competitors.

For observers, the competition helped demonstrate some of the functions of the platform, while highlighting Wuxi's strengths as a center for IoT technologies.
As a world leading IoT platform and a partner in Alibaba Could's smart cities initiative, Feifeng platform allows users to analyze different sets of data from a city, helping individuals make smarter decisions about future development.
