China's top internet of things (IoT) event -- the 2019 World Internet of Things Exposition -- is scheduled to run on Sept 7-10 and feature the latest IoT applications and products.

Thirty-five Fortune 500 companies have confirmed they will attend the expo and the total number of participant firms has so far reached 531.

This year's World Internet of Things Expo will include one main summit, one IoT applications and production exhibition, one IoT new technologies and new products and new applications conference, 10 high-end forums and 14 other events.

Organizers said the numbers of activities and participants will exceed those of last year.

The organizers added that the 60,000-square-meter exposition will have the most advanced technologies and products on display, demonstrating how IoT technologies will be applied in education, urban governance, transportation management, automobiles and other sectors.

The WIoT-Park will debut as part of the IoT applications and production exhibition. It will provide immersive experiences to visitors, featuring augmented reality dome-screen films, virtual reality games, self-service markets and restaurants, as well as smart guidance.

Organizers said that only 1 yuan ($0.14) is asked for a ticket to the exhibition, by scanning a QR code to its official ticket website until Sept 6.

Visitors need to pay 20 yuan per person additionally for the WIoT-Park.
