The Smart Healthcare Development Forum, part of the 2020 World IoT Expo, was held in Wuxi on Sept 18.

Under the theme of "smart IoT measures against COVID-19", the forum invited government officials, scholars and representatives from relevant companies to discuss the integration and development of internet of things (IoT) information technology and healthcare.

Four people were invited to give keynote speeches: Hu Jianping, deputy director of the National Health Commission Statistical Information Center, Wang Lei, CEO of AstraZeneca China, Yang Jie, chairman of Huawei Datacom WLAN Product, and Li Datao, founder of online healthcare website vcbeat.top.

They talked on the construction of smart hospitals, IoT leading the future of medical care, medical IoT solutions, and industrial trends in medical IoT.

According to the forum, technologies such as IoT and telemedicine have made non-contact diagnosis and treatment possible. Wuxi has launched five internet hospitals for fever treatment so far in 2020, which also provide consultation services for patients with common and chronic diseases.

During the forum, the "Medical and Health Internet of Things White Paper (2020)" started collecting typical cases, while the "Medical and Health Internet of Things Information Standard Framework" invited partners to participate in the preparation of a standard framework.
