The 2020 World IoT Expo organized an offline event on Sept 19, inviting 30 locals to visit the city's landmarks related to internet of things industry.
The participants included some students and their parents, who are interested in the latest technologies and applications of the IoT industry.
They visited China Mobile Wuxi Production Scheduling Center, AstraZeneca Innovation Center, Wuxi Baihe Nursing Home, the store at China Telecom Business Hall and a reading space built inside a metro station.

At the China Mobile Wuxi Production Scheduling Center, the students were impressed by a fine-definition "magic mirror" which can play music and videos on its screen.
Baihe Nursing Home showed how IoT technology is improving elderly care services.
The nursing home features a host of innovations, from intelligent mattresses that can measure the occupants' physical condition and send real-time data to a central platform for monitoring, to a mobile app for daily care and special ID cards with SOS buttons that can be activated in emergencies.
The offline event will invite more people to participate and learn about the IoT industry in the future, according to organizers.
