Chinese aerospace company, Wuxi cooperate in smart industries

The China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) has rolled out six smart industry platforms and systems in fields like urban governance, smart agriculture, and vaccine supervision, according to a forum held on Nov 3.

The 2020 Smart Industry Summit Forum, held in the city of Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, was attended by over 200 experts and industry representatives, including 11 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The forum, which is a key event of the 2020 World Internet of Things Expo, was themed on the development of new infrastructure and digital China.

Liu Shiquan, general manager of CASIC, said the company has been working on the integration of aerospace technology and social governance in over 30 industries. Their cooperation with Wuxi, a beacon of the internet of things (IoT) indsutry, has been focused on various emerging industries such as internet of vehicles, industrial internet, intelligent manufacturing, and the development of a public health system.

During the event, CASIC and Wuxi's Xishan district signed a deal to work together on the construction and development of the National Jiangsu (Wuxi) Internet of Vehicles Pilot Zone Exhibition Center.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the forum was also live broadcasted online, showcasing the latest technologies of the domestic aerospace industry.
