Wuxi hosts China-UK digital economy forum

The China-UK Digital Economy Innovation and Development Forum was held in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 9.
The two-day forum saw the launch of the China-UK Digital Economy Cooperation Group and cooperation between the Institute of ICT, which is affiliated with the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Wuxi Liangxi Sci-tech City.

Members of the China-UK cooperation group include a number of Wuxi companies, including Hodo Group and Igen Tech Co Ltd, further showcasing the city's desire to develop its digital economy.
Zhang Yuguo, senior vice-president of Relx China, and leader of the group, said that Relx, as a UK multinational information service provider, is dedicated to developing its operations in China and will work with Chinese companies and organizations on research and projects related to the digital economy.
Tom Duke, deputy trade commissioner of the UK Department for Business and Trade in China, said in his speech at the forum that Wuxi is at the forefront of nationwide digital economic development and a hub for the Internet of Vehicles.
