Experts discuss IoT's empowering manufacturing

More than 200 intelligent manufacturing experts, senior managers of enterprises, and journalists from home and abroad attended the 2023 Intelligent Manufacturing International Cooperation Summit in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, on Oct 20.
The summit was aimed at the international exchanges and cooperation of the Chinese intelligent manufacturing industry, expanding the international market, and improving the global influence of Chinese intelligent manufacturing.

Zhou Changqing, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, noted in his speech that Wuxi in recent years has focused on innovation-driven development and built a strong city with industries.
In the era of the digital economy, the city has established national and provincial-level industrial internet platforms highlighting intelligent manufacturing, Zhou added.

Song Xiaogang, secretary-general of the China Machinery Industry Federation, introduced CMIF and the development of the machinery industry in China.
He said that the federation will continue offering information and consultation services to Chinese and foreign governmental agencies, industry organizations and enterprises.
At the summit, guests shared experiences in international cooperation in the field of intelligent equipment and interpretation of investment policies as well as exchanged industrial information.
