The 2018 World Internet of Things Exposition (WIOT) is set to take place from Sept 15 to 18 in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, according to the expo's organizing committee on April 11.

The four-day event will include a summit, which is expected to be held on the first day of the expo in Taihu International Expo Center, one IoT application and production exhibition, 10 forums and 16 other activities.

The one exhibition will be themed on IoT communication, intelligent manufacturing and sensors, smart transportation and internet of vehicles, smart life and smart city, showcasing IoT's new trend, new technologies and new applications over the past year.

More authoritative institutions and professional organizations will be part of this year's event, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Institute of Electronics and China Computer Federation.
