A delegation of Party and government officials from Wuxi visited Tokyo, Japan on Nov 27 to talk about cooperation on intelligent manufacturing.

A total of 8 projects with a contractual investment of $ 3.9 billion were signed during the meeting, covering intelligent lithium batteries, vehicle equipment research and development production, new energy vehicles, new materials, and automotive and home appliance spare parts.

Li Xiaomin, Party secretary of Wuxi, delivered a keynote speech on deepening cooperation in the intelligent manufacturing field between Wuxi and Tokyo.

Li said that Wuxi has established a foundation based on internet of things, integrated circuits and big data thanks to years of research and development on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. Japan, which is one of the world’s leaders in intelligent manufacturing, is worth learning from.

According to Li, Wuxi and Tokyo will take intelligent manufacturing as a key area of industrial cooperation and economic exchange in the future. Wuxi is expected to take advantage of its industrial foundation, business policies and environment to attract more enterprises and talents from Tokyo.

Wuxi and Tokyo will also make joint efforts on the construction of smart city, smart transportation, smart environmental protection, smart health, smart tourism, smart agriculture and smart energy, promoting the development of the whole industry.
